MAN TO RULE THE WORLD

By Carl Llewellyn

We have not seen a lot of Baracouda ahead of his run in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle but Francois Doumen's horses have been going very well.

You could not rule him out but you get the feeling that a younger horse could come along and have the beating of him.

I think the one that can do it is Mighty Man.

It was a really good run at Sandown when he was second after he just failed to get back up on the run-in after being stopped on the home turn.

He is a gorgeous horse and the young pretender who could well come through.

Fire Dragon was just in front of him and had received a very good tactical ride from Tony McCoy.

But I would fancy Mighty Man to reverse those placings if he is granted a clearer run.

My Way de Solzen sluiced up last time at Fontwell and would have very good claims if there was more rain this week.

He seems to revel in soft ground.

No Refuge also has a shout on the best of his form but the current wellbeing of Howard Johnson's stable must be a concern.

Crystal D'Ainay looks to have lost interest in racing and although he has had a spell of hunting, that sometimes only suits certain horses in a bid to freshen them up.
