Willie Mullins unleashed yet another contender for the Cheltenham Festival Champion Bumper when Freds Benefit won the Rockview (Q.R.) INH Flat Race at Punchestown. Despite being sent off a relatively weak 11-8 favourite, there was never a moments worry for his supporters as Katie Walsh made all and forged 15-lengths clear of Your Right Now (7-1) up the straight. "I'm delighted with that," said Mullins. "He's been doing all the right things at home. At the moment all of mine that have won their bumper will be going over to Cheltenham, except for Black Harry." That leave Mullins with the formidable team of Ballytrim, Equus Maximus, Irish Invader, Shady Willow and Freds Benefit. Cashmans were impressed enough to introduce Freds Benefit at 10-1 for the Cheltenham contest and also cut the price of a Willie Mullins-trained winner of the race to 11-10 from 11-8.
